Spain Head Coach Vicente Del Bosque has left Chelsea striker Diego Costa, Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata and Arsenal star Santi Cazorla out of his preliminary 25-man squad for this summer’s European Championships.

Instead he has selected Alvaro Morata, Aritz Aduriz and Nolito as his striking options for their highly impressive seasons respectively. Aduriz doing things past his age. Morata winning back to back scudetto and in the transfer wishlist of Top teams and Nolito, my goodness what a season he’s had. Dazzling everyone including barcelona, Top target of the winter transfer window. their inclusion however is also to their own surprise.

For a good thing to happen sacrifice/s has to be made and that’s the story for the likes of Fernando Torres, who has enjoyed something of a career renaissance at Atletico Madrid this season, he also misses out on the squad, along with a number of Premier League stars like Mata and Bellerin.

Man United play-maker, Mata has not been selected by Vincente Del Bosque, despite making over 50 appearances for Louis van Gaal’s men, and proving a rare bright spot for the Red Devils in a season that has seen them slip to sixth in the Premier League.

Arsenal star Cazorla also misses out, a big blow to his hopes of running the show in the middle of the park with Andres Iniesta now that the blessed Xavi Hernades has retired, also misses due to a long injury lay-off along with his Gunners team-mate Hector Bellerin and Nacho monreal

Bellerin enjoyed a fine season at club level, winning plenty of plaudits as Arsene Wenger’s men finished second in the Premier League, but Champions League Finalist Juanfran and Dani Carvajal have instead been selected as Del Bosque’s right-back options.
