Super Eagles Forward and Chelsea Wing-back Victor Moses has been handed a two-year contract extension by Chelsea football club.
Chelsea FC posted a picture of Victor Moses signing his contract with the caption “Congratulations Victor Moses! The 26-year-old has today signed a new contract with the Blues which will run until 2021.
The 26-year-old African cup of nations winner has been in inspired form this season, running up and down the right flank for the blues.Moses was included in the first-team squad after impressing new manager Antonio Conte during pre-season,
On 15 August 2016, Moses played his first league game for Chelsea in three years, coming off the bench for Hazard against West Ham United in a 2–1 win.
Moses made his first start On 23 August, and scored his first goal since his return, in the Second round of the EFL Cup against Bristol Rovers in a 3–2 victory.
After back to back league defeats, Conte converted into a 3–4–3 formation with Moses playing as a right-sided wing-back in the following match against Hull City.
His performance as a wing-back helped Chelsea to a 2–0 victory and also earned him the Man of the Match.
On 15 October 2016, Moses scored his second league goal of the season against Leicester City in a 3–0 home win.
Victor Moses, On 26 November 2016, scored the winner in a 2–1 victory against Tottenham Hotspur and was named the Man of the Match.
Moses also posted his thought on the deal on Instagram – “I’m delighted to be here for another few years now and to sign a new deal.
Moses has developed into a good team player this season, his defending and attacking have won Chelsea important points in their title bid.
Chelsea fans also saw the deal as a good move and responded well to it on social media by showing their support and congratulating him.
The Lagos-born player is enjoying his first full season in the starting line eleven with the Blues this current campaign since he made the switch to the bridge from Wigan Athletic in the summer of 2012.
Moses was signed by Champions League winning coach Roberto di Matteo and has been sent out on loan on three different occasions to Premier League teams (Liverpool, Stoke City, and West Ham United) Despite netting ten goals in all competitions during his first season.
