Chelsea Draw Spurs, Arsenal To Face Man City In FA Cup Semis
The Blues, who ousted Manchester United 1-0 in the quarter-finals of the competition on Monday night, will face Spurs in the first semi-final at Wembley.
Wembley has been used by Tottenham this season for their European home fixtures and they’ve struggled to produce results at the national stadium, winning just one of four European games played there this season.
The Blues and Tottenham met at the semi-final stage in 2012 when goals from Didier Drogba, Juan Mata, Ramires, Frank Lampard and Florent Malouda secured a 5-1 win for the Stamford Bridge side.
Arsenal who defeated fifth-tier Lincoln City FC 5-0 at the Emirates Stadium last Saturday will face Manchester City in the other semi-final also at Wembley.
Arsenal and City have met just twice before at any stage in the competition, with their most recent meeting coming in a 2-1 fifth-round win for the Gunners in 1971.
The semi-final matches will be played on Saturday, April 22 and Sunday, April 23 by four out of the five current top English Premiership teams.
